professional associations related to the tax industry.
Institute for Professionals in Taxation

Nearly 40 years old, the Institute for Professionals in
Taxation (IPT) is an
educational association that educates, certifies, and
establishes strict codes of conduct for tax professionals.
Every year, the Institute provides more than 20 nationwide
seminars, joint programs, academies, symposia, forums,
schools, and a conference. IPT's program in sales tax leads to
the Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) designation, which
is available to those members who satisfy the educational and
experience requirements and who pass a rigorous examination.
Its members are expected to adhere to a strict code of ethics
and standards of professional conduct.
Southeastern Association of Tax Administrators

The Southeastern Association of Tax Administrators (SEATA)
is comprised of tax
professionals in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia,
Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina,
Tennessee and Virginia. Full membership is reserved for tax
administrators, budget officials, public finance officers, and
legal counsellors. The association promotes cooperation among
the member states in taxation and tax-related matters by
holding meetings and using other communications for exchanging
ideas on tax administration, tax laws, and administrative
methods. IntegriTax is a member of SEATA's Industry Council
Committee and the IntegriTax partners regularly attend SEATA
meetings.
U. S. Poultry & Egg Association

The U.S. Poultry and Egg Association (USPOULTRY)
is the largest and most active
poultry organization in the world. The association represents
the entire industry including processors and producers of
broilers, turkeys, ducks, eggs and breeding stock. It helps to
advance the industry through research grants, education, the
environment, food safety, poultry health, and communication.
USPOULTRY also sponsors the International Poultry Exposition,
the largest show in the industry.
Technology

IntegriTax works with clients who use every imaginable
accounting system available ranging from state-of-the-art
customized enterprise systems to off-the-shelf legacy systems.
Our clients use various platforms such as Windows, Unix,
Oracle, Novell, Linux and AS/400 that run major ERP, HCM and SRM
software including SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics,
NetSuite, ESP, Sage, Epicor, SYSPRO, IFS, Macola and many,
many more.
As our clients' systems
have become more technologically advanced, IntegriTax has kept
pace with advanced methods for conducting our business. For example, IntegriTax has developed iTrax, a
technologically advanced database system that facilitates
reviews. This leading-edge software tracks refund claims sent
to taxing authorities and suppliers, compiles refund amounts,
monitors claim status, and manages follow-up activities. Our
system expedites reviews and reduces the amount of time it
takes for refunds to be added to our clients' bottom line. It
easily manages communications with suppliers, many of whom are
sent claims from multiple clients. ITrax also allows us to
provide our clients with timely and informative reports
throughout the length of their projects.
Green Initiatives

IntegriTax continues to implement new technologies and
processes that streamline and speed our work flows, which
provide convenience to our clients while saving time and
resources.
PAPERLESS OFFICE.
IntegriTax has always recycled paper and other office waste.
We are now reducing the amount of material used in our
business processes. In the past, we traveled to our clients'
locations, photocopied their documents, and had them shipped
to us for processing. We then kept the documents on our
premises or in long-term storage for years. Today, we are
scanning original documents or have previously scanned and
archived documents sent to us via email or copied to CDs or
flash drives. To speed processing for scanned documents, we
use new scanners and multi-screen workstations that allow us
to work with multiple documents simultaneously.
REMOTE ACCESS AND
SECURE DATA TRANSFER. Some IntegriTax clients
allow us to view their records remotely by creating special
accounts for us to access data on their servers. If our
client's security systems do not allow this method, we create
ftp accounts behind our firewall, which allows our clients to
directly transfer data to our server in a secure manner.
ELECTRONIC FILING
SYSTEM. In the past, we created and kept client
and administrative paper-based files in binders and folders
that were stored in numerous filing cabinets and bookshelves.
IntegriTax now keeps all client information in electronic
formats and most administrative "paperwork" is now
created, stored, and archived electronically.
ELECTRONIC
REPORTS. Our reports of findings are less bulky
because we now provide them in electronic form to our clients.
Instead of shipping binders containing several pounds of
paper, we now send electronic versions via email or on CD-ROM.
In addition, when requested, we send scanned documentation to
state auditors instead of spreadsheets and documents printed
on many pounds of paper.
REMOTE TRAINING.
IntegriTax is using WebEx, an online meeting and conferencing
solutions company, for training seminars that allow client
participants from anywhere in the country to join in scheduled
training. This approach reduces our client's time and travel
expenses. In addition to our seminar manuals, IntegriTax
furnishes DVD copies of the webinars to all participants.
BENEFITS.
While IntegriTax continues to recycle its office waste, our
waste reduction initiative with accompanying technology
changes has considerably lowered the amount of waste paper
generated by our business. The costs and environmental impacts
for shipping copies of paper documents and our reports have
significantly been reduced. In addition, the time and energy
saved by not copying, transporting and processing paper
documents allows us to provide our clients with the results of
our analyses quickly so that they are able to maximize the tax
overpayments we identify for them. Cutting down on travel also
saves considerable time and resources. In short, our use of
new technologies allows us to reduce time, resources, and
expenses while further improving our clients' bottom
lines.
